Each year we support a charity, voted on by our colleagues. Last year we supported StreetVet, a charity that has supported more than 3,000 pets across the UK with nearly 1/3 of them, 929, being within the South West region.
Our colleagues organised a variety of fundraising activities, including a pet competition (winners of our 'Pets on Holiday' category below), golf day, sponsored bike ride, motorbike event and more. Through this fundraising, we raised £9,500 to go to the charity and support the work they do.
In the South West, StreetVet volunteer vets and vet nurses dedicate more than 3,100 volunteering hours to enable more than 200 outreaches a year to take place to support the pets of those experiencing homelessness across the region.
Stewart Tudor-Jackman, our Head of Organisational Learning and Talent Management, continues to get involved and help arrange the charity activities, he said: “We’ve had a great year supporting StreetVet, with fundraising activities taking place every month over the last year.
“We’re delighted that our colleagues have raised so much for this excellent cause, which really resonated with so many of us.”
