Alison Knight

Alison has worked for LiveWest since 2013 and enjoys working with customers to try and achieve the changes they want to see in their neighbourhoods, and she brings community partners together to make this happen. Alison is particularly interested in play spaces and growing projects.  
One of Alison’s career highlights is setting up Bideford Job Club with the support of community partners. The job club was visited 766 times in the first year and it now employs a coordinator to support this work.

Charlotte Holdsworth

Charlotte Holdsworth
South Hams

Charlotte has worked at LiveWest since 2014 and has a background in community development. She has worked on a variety of projects including housing redevelopments, church restorations and the creation of play parks. Charlotte loves that her work is incredibly varied and that she gets to meet so many wonderful people. She is committed to supporting customers and the communities in which they live.
Charlotte spent four years working with the community and fundraising to build a new play park at Champernowne in Modbury.

Colette Tuckey

Colette Tuckey
Bristol and Bath

Colette has been working for LiveWest since 2013. She has a background in Neighbourhood Safety and Environmental Enforcement so being a Community Connector has come naturally to her. She has had the privilege of working with customers and partners to building stronger, safer, resilient and happier communities.
Colette has worked on a number of projects supporting children to develop confidence and resilience through life skills and sports skills. Colette is particularly interested in wellbeing and access to healthy food.

Guy Braga

Guy Braga
North Devon

Guy has worked in social housing since 2013. He has a background in regeneration schemes, landscape architecture and environmental conservation. Guy has worked with people of all ages and abilities on practical environmental improvement tasks including building wildlife habitats and community gardens. 
One of Guy’s most successful projects was in an area of new development in Street. He engaged young people in a growing and wildlife project which brought the residents together and supported the establishment of an active community group.

Justine Cheffers

Justine Cheffers
Plymouth

Justine has worked as a Community Connector since 2006. She has a degree in Social Policy and Administration and enjoys working with communities to help them to make their ideas a reality. Justine works intensively with partners and agencies to share information and work on projects for the benefit of the whole community.
Justine volunteers as a trustee for the charity Timebank South West. She believes everyone has something to offer and that volunteering can energise communities. Justine has supported our customers to volunteer in Barne Barton, Plymouth and to join the Community Ambassadors Programme which allows young people to gain new skills and take positive action in their own area. 

Keri Millar

Keri Millar
West Cornwall

Keri has been working for LiveWest since 2007.  Keri loves working with people and building relationships with our customers, communities, and agencies who can work with and support them. 
Keri supported our customers in Penzance to access a project run by Active Plus, which tackled social isolation and loneliness. Together they worked with customers in Roscadghill to revamp the community Kabin. Keri secured social value funding from a LiveWest supplier to create a safe outside play area for children and re-launched the Kabin as a community space.

Lesley Browne

Lesley Browne
East Devon

Lesley has worked for LiveWest since 2004. She initially worked as a Resettlement Officer in an area of Exeter which was being regenerated. She formed relationships with customers, and together they were able influence what happened in their community. This experience made Lesley more passionate about continuing in community-based work which enables customers to effect positive change where they live.
As a keen gardener and a beekeeper Lesley has a special interest in growing and food projects. She is proud to have been a proactive partner with organisations that salvage usable food, and ensures our communities are supported where there are needs around access to food.

Mai Evans

Mai Evans
Mid and East Cornwall

Mai has worked in community focused roles for LiveWest since 2006. Mai appreciates being able to listen to what customers want and helping to make things happen, whilst supporting communities to develop their own strengths and aspirations. 
She is particularly proud of helping residents design their own play facilities in Bude and Truro. She also set up a successful partnership in Gunnislake which led to a new play park and a new youth club. Mai has initiated and participated in many forums, waste-amnesty days, litter-picks, fun days, planting events and helped set up community allotments in Camborne.

LiveWest Community Connector Marie Burke

Marie Burke
Gloucestershire

Marie has worked in this role since 2014. She has a degree in Horticulture and previously worked as a park keeper. She believes that access to good quality green space is a prerequisite for wellbeing.  
Marie is a great advocate of volunteering as it helps people to gain great experiences which can enrich their lives or help them progress in their careers. She has volunteered herself for various community groups and charities and encourages our customers to volunteer. 
Marie has supported new community at Lyde Green for many years and worked with them to help develop the community association which is now a charity and manages the community centre.

Shona Stone

Shona Stone
Somerset

Shona has been working within Community Investment since 2011. Shona is experienced in creating and developing partnerships which benefit communities. She enjoys working on a variety of projects which require different skills and approaches to reach great outcomes for LiveWest customers and communities.
Shona ran a project offering free English lessons to customers whose first language was not English. Customers learned how to communicate in different situations to do things like make a medical appointment, order at a café or use a library. The customers gained confidence and engaged with people from other cultures and backgrounds which also helped them feel more integrated with their local community. One participant gained enough confidence from the sessions to set up her own cleaning business.

Sally Hill

Sally Hill
Sedgemoor, Somerset

Sally has worked in community development since 2002. Sally feels very privileged to have worked with some of the same communities for many years. This has given her a great insight into how communities will pull together when given the tools and the opportunities. 
Sally is passionate about growing organic food, nature, and wildlife. She is particularly excited to be representing LiveWest communities in Bridgwater and Taunton as part of a project with the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme. The five-year scheme will provide opportunities for people to engage with and access the countryside, nature and heritage of the Quantocks AONB through a number of projects.
