Lily Bowes-Hunter reflected on her positive experience working with LiveWest after she helped to shape our new environmental campaign.

Lily, a third-year geography student at the University of Exeter, worked with us for three weeks after we partnered with the university’s award-winning Green Consultants programme.

Lily used her technical knowledge to help us communicate our plans to customers and colleagues.

Her arrival coincided with the start of lockdown which meant she worked remotely during her time with LiveWest.

Lily says she enjoyed being part of our organisation and was impressed with our commitment to protecting the environment.

Lily said: “Whilst working with LiveWest I was involved with developing their new environmental strategy. I looked at ways we can communicate this strategy and how we can involve our colleagues and customers in becoming greener.

“Working at LiveWest was really insightful. It was great to learn more about the workings of a large housing association, and brilliant to see that across the business LiveWest is committed to going green.

“I have enjoyed learning about how different media channels are utilised at LiveWest to communicate ideas to a variety of audiences, and also how LiveWest’s current process of housing acquisition influences the ‘greenness’ of its housing.

“Despite working remotely from home, I felt a real part of the team at LiveWest and it has been brilliant working on a such an important project.”
