We have been highly commended in the Large Scale Project of the Year category at the South West Energy Efficiency Awards, recognising the successful delivery of a major retrofit programme across Devon.
The award celebrates exceptional projects in the region where energy efficiency measures totalling more than £250,000 have been installed. It recognises the collective efforts of everyone involved in delivering a large scale energy saving programme, while maintaining excellent customer service and demonstrating a high standard of quality workmanship throughout.
The project, nominated by our contractor LMF Energy Services, was funded through the Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) scheme and delivered energy efficiency improvements to 55 homes across Exmouth, Newton Abbot and Kingsbridge.
Key measures included the installation of solar panels to significantly boost energy performance, alongside new heating and ventilation systems.
Tim Wotton, Green Funding Manager at LiveWest, said: “We are really honoured to have been highly commended at the South West Energy Efficiency Awards and humbled that our work has been recognised.
“LiveWest is on a journey to net zero, and this recognition reflects the hard work and commitment of our staff, partners and funders in delivering our trailblazing retrofit programme.
“We hope this demonstrates our commitment to creating greener, more energy efficient and affordable homes.”
We have a clear responsibility to our customers and the environment to provide the best possible homes, while reducing the carbon footprint of the communities we serve.
Improving the energy efficiency of our homes is a key part of this, with a commitment to achieving a minimum EPC rating of C by 2028 — two years ahead of the Government’s target.
Looking ahead, our longer term ambition is to become net carbon zero by 2050, playing our part in protecting the planet for current and future generations.
