Sustainable homes, neighbourhoods and communities are at the heart of what it means to deliver a home for everyone, and we are excited to celebrate sustainability within the housing sector and beyond.
This week, as part of our new Creating Greener Futures Together (CGFT) celebrations, our colleagues will be attending virtual sessions with both internal and external speakers, learning about sustainability and what we are doing to create a greener future at LiveWest.
Alongside these sessions, our colleagues have also pledged to make an environmental change, such as going plastic free as a team throughout October or reducing their food waste as much as possible during CGFT week.
We are also encouraging everyone in our communities to think about what they can do to be more green this week. Our new and updated green advice pages offer tips and tricks on how to make your home more eco-friendly throughout the year.
This week coincides with the appointment of our new Planning, Technical and Sustainability Director, Glynnis Poole, who will help us to deliver our new environmental strategy.
Glynnis said: “We have some ambitious targets in our environmental strategy and there are a lot of talented people who are positively influencing change and delivering our environmental credentials.
“I am there to be the subject matter expert on all things environmental and be the advocate for us externally.”
Alongside Glynnis’ appointment as our Planning, Technical and Sustainability Director, we are also providing environmental training to upskill our colleagues, ensuring that they are confident to have environmental conversations with our customers and are able to signpost them to relevant information.
