We have been giving out food, craft supplies and gifts to our young residents living at Torbay Foyer to raise their spirits during the festive season.
Our colleagues at Torbay Foyer, which provides supported accommodation for young people aged between 16 and 25 have been supporting young people there to tackling the impact of coronavirus such as loneliness and social isolation.
Julie Wilcox, Service Manager said: ‘’We’ve run a few socially distanced activities over the course of this week so that our young people know that someone is thinking of them.
‘’With the coronavirus pandemic, many of our young people are unable to spend Christmas Day with family or friends, so we are ensuring that they have something to cook and eat as well as ingredients to make their own shortbread so they can give this as a gift to someone.
‘’We also have kindly been given gift donations from the local community which means that our young people have a present to open on the day too.’’
