Apply for an Apprenticeship

We've launched an apprenticeship programme and are recruiting for a variety of roles.

The top five things about being an apprentice here at LiveWest:
Having a job and getting a salary
Our apprenticeships are open to everyone aged 16 years or above and are full-time roles. As an apprentice, you’ll have a contract of employment (apprenticeship agreement), receive a salary and will be supported by training providers, ‘on the job’ trainers and a coach.  You will be entitled to the same T&Cs as everyone else; this includes the same annual leave, sick pay and wellbeing support.
Perfect if university isn’t for you
Unlike other ways of gaining qualifications, apprenticeships are paid for by your employer meaning they are great if going to university just isn’t for you. We pay excellent apprenticeship salaries as a way to actively encourage applications from people of all ages and backgrounds.
Did you know? Did you know? People who opt to study for a higher apprenticeship will earn around £1.44m over their lifetime, almost £52,000 more than the majority of students who study at undergraduate level.  These graduates can expect to take home around £1.39m. (The Independent)
Gain accredited qualifications
All apprenticeships must include an element of training. They're designed to give you on and off-the-job training, leading to qualification(s). There are three levels of apprenticeships in the UK, leading to different qualifications:
Intermediate (Level 2) - equivalent to 5 GCSE passes
Advanced (Level 3) - equivalent to 2 A-level passes
Higher (Level 4+) - lead to NVQ Level 4 and above or a foundation degree
•Level 5/6/7 – Degree and Masters level Apprenticeships.
Depending on your level, you could end up with a variety of qualifications such as:
National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)
Functional Skills qualification (English, Maths and IT equivalent to GCSEs)
Technical certificate, such as a BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC)
Higher National Diploma (HND)
Foundation degree
Undergraduate degree
Masters degree.
Great job prospects when your apprenticeship ends
We will make every effort to identify suitable opportunities for apprentices when their apprenticeship ends. This could be identifying suitable openings within their team or across the business, or looking at the next level of an apprenticeship such as progressing from level 3 to 4 and so on.
Once you've completed your apprenticeship, your job prospects as a whole are great.
Did you know? 85% of those who complete an apprenticeship stay in employment and 64% of these apprentices stay with their training organisation. (The Guardian)
Numerous long term options
A great thing about an apprenticeship is the scope of opportunities on offer long term. This is a realistic option for apprentices as they're likely to have been with their employer already and proved their commitment. Starting out on level 2 apprenticeship can lead to a degree and further for many.
